  • Your subscription starts with a 12-month commitment, then automatically switches to month-to-month. You're free to cancel anytime after the first year! The website and all services will end when you cancel - this helps us focus on active clients and maintain the quality of our work.

  • No problem at all - you'd just need to start a new 12-month subscription with us.

  • If you cancel early, you'll need to pay the balance of what the site would normally cost ($3800) minus whatever you've already paid through the subscription. We focus on building long-term relationships with our clients and look for clients who share that same mindset.

  • You'll have a 7-day grace period for each invoice. After that, there's a $25 late fee. If you're on a subscription and multiple months fall behind without any communication from you, we might need to cancel the contract (with the full site cost becoming due). We're usually super flexible and understanding of different situations - just keep in touch with us if you're having payment issues! But if we don't hear back from you at all, we need to protect ourselves from not getting paid for our work.

  • We send invoice emails with a secure payment link through Stripe for our subscription payments - we accept all major credit and debit cards. For lump sum projects, we use bank transfer (ACH) to keep processing fees low. Sorry, we don't accept checks or money orders!

  • If we can't design something you're 100% happy with during the initial phase and you want to walk away, we'll refund your startup payment. Once we start building the site though, refunds are case-by-case. We're all about making sure you're happy with what we create!

  • Yes! The subscription continues month-to-month after your first year. We structure it this way because we invest a lot upfront in creating your site. In fact, it typically takes us 2-3 years just to match what we'd earn from a one-time payment. We love building long-term relationships with our clients - ideally 5+ years - because it lets us focus more on service and less on sales. Most clients find their website is generating far more value than the monthly fee by this point, making it a win-win for everyone. This steady relationship helps us provide better service since we can focus on improving your site rather than constantly seeking new clients.

  • We don't offer buyout options for subscriptions. Here's why: we rely on consistent monthly income to provide hands-on service and support without having to constantly chase new sales. If clients could buy out their subscriptions, we'd need to spend more time selling and less time serving our existing clients. The subscription model typically takes 2-3 years (including hosting costs) to match what we'd make from a one-time payment, so it only becomes beneficial for us after about 5 years. This model lets us keep monthly rates affordable while providing ongoing value. We prefer focusing on long-term partnerships where we can really get to know your business and keep improving your site over time.

  • Absolutely! We offer an unlimited edits and support add-on for $50/month. Like our main subscription, this comes with a 12-month minimum commitment - no switching on and off. If you cancel and want to restart later, you'll begin a new 12-month commitment.

  • It comes down to short-term versus long-term costs. With a subscription, you'll pay more over time but get manageable monthly payments plus ongoing service. One-time payment costs more upfront but saves money long-term since you're paying for everything at once. Choose based on your cash flow and goals - if you want lower upfront costs and value ongoing service, go subscription. If you prefer to handle everything upfront and save in the long run, choose one-time payment.

  • We include essential on-page SEO basics like fast load times, accessibility features, meta tags, Google Search Console setup, sitemap generation, and some content creation. But SEO is bigger than that - it needs ongoing work like link building and content strategy. For full SEO services, we partner with an SEO specialist who can handle all the ongoing optimization your site needs. Just let us know if you'd like an introduction!

  • Sorry, we don't include ecommerce in our standard subscription plan. Online stores need a lot more setup and maintenance than regular business sites, so we can't include them in our $175/month package.

  • Absolutely! Your domain is always yours - we never hold that hostage!

  • Yes! Every website we build comes with essential SEO foundations built-in. This includes proper site structure, fast loading speeds, mobile optimization, and all the technical elements search engines look for. We also help set up your Google Business Profile and key business directory listings to boost your local presence.

  • Absolutely! That's why we build SEO best practices into every site from the ground up. By starting with a properly optimized website and local business listings, you'll have the foundation you need to be found in search results. While SEO takes time to show results, having these essentials in place from the start gives you a much better chance of ranking well.

  • We optimize your site's technical structure, speed, and content organization. This includes proper meta tags, heading structure, internal linking, and mobile optimization. We also help with local SEO basics like setting up your Google Business Profile and key directory listings. Everything is built following SEO best practices to help search engines understand and trust your site.

  • While you'll have all the right SEO foundations in place from launch, it typically takes search engines a few months to fully recognize and rank new websites. The timeline varies based on your market and competition, but having a properly optimized site from the start puts you ahead of many businesses that ignore these important basics.

  • Yes! We manage Google search campaigns with a focus on getting you solid returns through essential optimization. We actively monitor performance, test different ad versions, and adjust based on real data. For many local businesses, this level of management provides excellent value without the higher costs of advanced management.

The level of management needed often depends on factors like your industry competition, geographic area, seasonal changes, and target customer behavior. We'll help assess what makes sense for your situation.

  • The total cost includes your ad spend (paid to Google) and our management fee. We typically recommend starting with at least $500/month in ad spend, though the ideal budget varies based on your industry, competition level, location, and goals. More competitive markets or broader service areas might need higher budgets to see good results. During our consultation, we can analyze these factors and recommend a budget that makes sense for your business.

  • We typically complete websites within 2-4 weeks. The timeline mainly depends on how quickly we can get your content and feedback. The sooner you can provide materials and responses, the faster we can get your site live!

  • The website and hosting services end when you cancel your subscription (otherwise everyone would just do that!). However, you always keep your domain name and any content/images you provided.

  • Absolutely! Your domain is always yours. Even if we helped purchase it for you, we'll transfer it to you if you ever cancel services. We don't hold domains hostage!
